How Much can you Really Save?

There have been a lot of unfortunate people in this world who have been cursed (and ended up cursing themselves beyond that) with the sad notion that they are incapable of saving money.  If you are one of those people, then you have it bad.  But fortunately for you, it is completely possible to change this habit around.  However, the difficult part of it is how much effort it is going to take to go from one thought process to an entirely different one.  There is no road map for how to succeed with this, and a lot of people who know you will want you to stay where you are.

You would be amazed at how difficult it is to change your habits.  Every year a billion new year’s resolutions are made and broken inside of the first month or two of the year.  It is as if all of these people think that this year is going to be different, when the year itself has nothing whatsoever to do with it.  It is all about taking small steps toward changing how you save.  After all, this entire thing is in your mind, and has to do with how you see yourself.

If you see yourself as someone who can not save, then you are going to make all kinds of tiny choices every day which support this belief.  To do otherwise would be to betray who you are, as much as it would to do something you consider immoral.  But if you can hold a dollar in your hand, you can save it.  If you can put that dollar into an account that you do not think about, you can save your dollars.
