Most of America has been learning how to economize these days. The older generation reminds us that this is how it was back in the day. You may be wondering how to make your money stretch even further. Below are a few ideas that are easy to utilize and will save you the money you need.
1. Use coupons, they can save money. They can be found in your Sunday paper or on the internet. Clip them, organize them and use them.
2. Take your lunch to work. Pack something the night before and by-pass the morning rush. Eating out should be an infrequent treat.
3. Cut out the coffee stops. A lot of money is spent on those fancy cups of coffee. Buy yourself a pot with an automatic brew on it and make it at home.
4. Drink filtered water, not bottled. Invest in a good filter, bottled water is just a waste and all those bottles are filling up our landfills.
5. Borrow books from the library, don’t buy them. Most of us only read a book once anyway.
6. Eat at home more and out less. Eating out should be a treat, not the norm. Stay home and cook together as a family, save money.
7. Make homemade foods, not pre-packagedfoods. Pre-packaged are over priced and full of preservatives. Make foods from scratch instead.
8. Stay away from pricey cleaners. Did you know that vinegar will clean many of the same things and it costs just a fraction of the price.
9. Grocery shop at several different stores. Make a list using the flyers and shop the sales.
10. Stock up on needed non-perishable items when they are on sale. This will save you money in the long run.
Just by using a few of these tips you can save some money. Pick out a few and give them a try.
